It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Peter Tischler on January 18, 2021. He survived by wife of 60 years, in addition to his children, grandchildren and brother.
A Harvard and Yale graduate, Dr. Tishler was an educator, researcher and clinical physician specializing in human genetics and orphan diseases. A preeminent expert in the porphyrias, Dr. Tishler was a member of the APF Scientific Advisory Board and oversaw the creation of the APF Safe/Un-safe Drug Database.
