?? 2021 APF PET CALENDAR PHOTO CONTEST ??
It's that time again!! We had so much fun last time, we're doing it again!! Cannot wait to see everyone's pets- all pets welcome - Anyone can enter and it's free!!
This fundraising campaign will benefit the American Porphyria Foundation's Protect the Future Program. This program trains the next generation of Porphyria doctors, specialists and researchers. In the next decade we'll lose 90% of our specialists due to retirement, etc. This program ensures we not only preserve the knowledge we've already gained about this rare disease, but trains new doctors and researchers to make sure porphyria patients continue to have quality testing, diagnosis, treatment and ultimately a CURE!! ????????

From Today Oct 2nd until October 15th, Email your pet photo to amy@porphyriafoundation.org
Include pet owner's name and contact info, pets name, kind of pet and something funny about them or how they help you with Porphyria or any other difficulty in life. You do not need to be a member of the APF to participate - EVERYONE is welcome!!
VOTING:
Photos will be organized into a contest. After you email your photo, you will receive a link to share with friends and family so they can vote for your pet. The winner will have their photo on the cover and each subsequent pet that receives the most votes will have their pet featured in each month of the year. ALL pets will find a special spot in the calendar!!
Each participant will receive a link to promote voting for their pet.
Each vote will be $2.00. All funds will go to the APF's Protect the Future program.
RULES:
Any type of pet can enter
Anyone can participate, members and non-members of the APF
No professional photos
No humans please
Photos should not be photoshopped
Photo submissions must be labeled with info mentioned above.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Submissions due October 15th
Voting begins October 16-30th
Winners revealed Nov 1st
Calendars ready for sale and shipping November 15
Pets are an important part of our lives, especially those of us dealing with the difficulties of Porphyria and other illnesses as well as this crazy COVID year. This calendar is a fun way to honor the unconditional love our pets show us and how they help us through the "ruff" times while raising awareness and fundraising to Protect the Future of our experts and in turn our lives!!
