Sometimes when we have a porphyria attack of any type and faced with physicians terminology and years of experience we might be faced with words or labs that we have never seen before especially if newly diagnosed. Many times physicians have never heard of porphyria, let alone know what the disease is the different types of porphyria of what labs to do.
